A major yet discreet figure on the French electronic scene for almost fifteen years, Cédric Steffens, aka Canblaster, is an artist universally respected and admired by his producer and DJ peers, as well as beyond the club circuit and niche labels. A founding member of the legendary quartet Club Cheval, alongside Myd, Panteros666 and Sam Tiba, he has also worked with the likes of Lido, Theophilus London and Kanye West, while putting out remixes for Charli XCX, A.G. Cook and Cashmere Cat to name of few.
In 2016, he locked himself in his studio, surrounded by his new modular synthesizers. The result from these years of experimentation is a huge, long-term project which will embody — in different phases — the breadth and versatility of the artist Canblaster as he finally emerges from this long period of experimentation and maturation. The first phase is a 10-track mixtape named GENESIS which is out now. The next one is a debut album which is due out early 2024.
